Amazing bed, delicious breakfast, incredible hostess
Mireille was an absolute delight- waiting up for our late arrival, calling many restaurants to make difficult, New Year's Eve, last-minute reservations for us, giving helpful pointers about the city, and offering great suggestions in general
We recently stayed at Le Terra Nostra for two nights in the Afrika room. The bed was incredibly
comfortable, and both my husband and I slept better than usual. Breakfasts were delicious- our
favorite was the pear-stuffed croissant. Mireille was an absolute delight- waiting up for our
late arrival, calling many restaurants to make difficult, New Year's Eve, last-minute reservations
for us, giving helpful pointers about the city, and offering great suggestions in general. The
free parking was an added bonus, as was the adorable neighborhood in which the house is located.
It is a little bit of a walk (15 minutes down a cute street) to the metro, but once in the station,
it is easy to navigate around the city. After you finish your day of walking, it is a wondrous
feeling to walk into the beautiful, cozy room, especially for a soak in the oversized tub in
the gorgeous bathroom! We would definitely go back.

First-class Le Terra Nostra and lovely Mireille
Elegant, exotic, magnificent, stylish, harmonious, tasteful, considerate, thoughtful
these are just very few words for describing our experience at Le Terra Nostra and wonderful hostess Mireille
Elegant, exotic, magnificent, stylish, harmonious, tasteful, considerate, thoughtful…
these are just very few words for describing our experience at Le Terra Nostra and
wonderful hostess Mireille.
Le Terra Nostra is a first-class B&B that is designed to meet the needs and interests
of a traveler coming from as far away as Australia or as close as New York. Everything
you touch or see in this beautiful B&B has a nice history, careful design, and stunning
story which will remain in your memory for a long time and undoubtedly make any guest to
revisit Le Terra Nostra.
Each of the three rooms at Le Terra Nostra – Asia, Afrika or Europa, is nicely designed.
The colors are tuneful, the furniture is exotic, and you would find all you need in any
of the rooms, including wine glasses, wine-opener, candles, sea-salt, etc. Even the box
of matches, which was there for lighting candle, is unique and beautiful.
The hostess Mireille is just there to make your day enjoyable, your experience pleasant,
you’re your trip to Montreal unforgettable! She is there to answer any question you may
have – starting from where to dine, where to shop, where to go for sightseeing, etc.
Mireille does all of this with care, it’s so obvious that she is considerate about each
and single guest and is enjoying making guests happy with the experience.
The breakfasts are simply fabulous – healthy, tasty, homemade, and professionally served.
Mireille puts nice background music while serving breakfast. She is always nicely
dressed-up when serving breakfast. When serving breakfast, she kindly explains the
ingredients. She makes everything herself, starting from a juice and shakes ending with
a syrup!
There is secured wireless internet available free of charge for travelers who need to
check email or browse the Internet. There are also bikes available for exploring the
nice bicycle path along the Saint Laurent River and through parks.
In brief, Mireille’s breakfasts raise the bar for any high-class restaurant, as she
brings professionalism and passion to the entire process. And Le Terra Nostra raises
the bar for the high-class hotels and B&Bs!
We will certainly go back to Le Terra Nostra. In fact, when I told Mireille that we will
be back, she said: “I will make a note of what you had for breakfast, so that I make
something different for your next visit.” I honestly can’t think of a place where I had
experienced as much professionalism and care as with our stay at Mireille’s Le Terra
Nostra. Mireille, many thanks for your efforts, care and professionalism!

More than a holiday
an unforgettable experience!
How to summarize in one sentence?
ASK, YOU WILL RECEIVE!
My 2 day stay in this B&B will be unforgettable!
As I tried to find a nice and affordable place to sleep near a conference site in Montreal,
I discovered an oasis where I will certainly come back to.
How to summarize my experience in one word? ... WELCOME!
How to summarize in one sentence? ... ASK, YOU WILL RECEIVE!
Mireille welcome guests warmly and make it first priority in the responsibilities of an hostess.
She is an inexhaustible source of information and her desire to satisfy her customers is obvious:
There was no room on the first night ... she found a compromise; I had to have breakfast earlier
to go to the conference ... I got it earlier; I missed a jewel to complete my outfit ... a set
offered in the display on site found an owner!
Want to practice your French or Italian ... no problem! You wish to discuss precious stones,
travel, art, outstanding culinary experiences... Mireille knows as well how to feed a conversation
as well as she knows how to feed you for breakfast. Mireille is a professional stylist and uses
her experience in your plate and on the walls. Both my eyes and stomach were satisfied. The
decoration is well thought. Each piece of furniture has a history, some from Africa, and others
from India. Your senses will be awakened by the refined union of colors, smells, textures and of
the music.
More details: the cozy down comforters, candles, heated ceramic floor, the lights on dimmers ...
fresh fruits, hot croissants, delicious quiches, homemade jams, exotic juices, coffees to choose
from, etc
The motto: SATISFACTION!
Price: To have already searched a room in Montreal, I know that for the same price (breakfast
not included) you can have an impersonal room in an average hotel. Personal service, stylish
decor and delicious breakfasts are therefore very significant added value and they are
characteristic of Le Terra Nostra and its owner.
A client more than satisfied!

Marvelous Place
Simply put, this is the best B&B we have ever stayed in
Le Terra Nostra is a wonderful place to stay if you're visiting Montreal. Hostess Mimi Lauzon will
help you find any attractions in the region, sitting down to help you plan your itinerary. Her
breakfasts are unique and delicious, her rooms stylish, roomy, comfortable, and quiet. The location
in Verdun works better than you might think because there are many fine restaurants in the
neighborhood, you can park your car for free, the inn is a block from the St. Lawrence River
and the bike trails and parks that border it (Mimi has bikes for you in the garage), and the
metro takes you downtown in minutes. Simply put, this is the best B&B we have ever stayed in.

A really (I mean REALLY) nice place to stay
Mireille the owner certainly has an eye for quality (must be that European influence) and she has gone the extra mile with nice European fittings, high quality finishings, the works
We had a great stay at Le Terra Nostra. I will certainly not look anywhere else the next time
we venture back to Montreal.
My lasting impression is of the rooms; the attention to detail is a treat. The 3 rooms have
different themes, and the decorating is truly inspired, especially the bathrooms. Mireille the
owner certainly has an eye for quality (must be that European influence) and she has gone the
extra mile with nice European fittings, high quality finishings, the works. Well done, I love
it.
The smell of freshly baked banana bread was a great way to start the day, breakfasts were superb,
fresh and home-made everything!
Driving in, it appears to be an unlikely place for a B&B, but with an unassuming little main
street and sub-way (5 minutes into the city) just a few minutes away and being stones-throw from
the river, it's a winner.
Mireille tries very hard to please her guests and deserves all the success she appears to be
having! Now I want to go back to enjoy breakfast on the patio in the summer.
I highly recommend that you stay here for a Montreal getaway!

The best B&B we had in North America
This is probably one of the best B&Bs one can find in North America
This is probably one of the best B&Bs one can find in North America. Not only is
Mireille an absolutely nice person but also the house is just fantastic. We spent
3 nights in the Asia room which is just one of 3 excellently decorated and
furnished rooms. The whole house has a welcoming atmosphere and provides an
excellent opportunity to relax. The guests can use the living room to watch TV and
Mireille even provides a newspaper every day. Besides, everything was really clean.
Everything the tourist needs, like brochures and city guides are readily available
at the house so that there is no need to look for a tourist office. Furthermore,
Mireille has a lot of proposals where to go for dinner or lunch. Contrary to other
B&Bs, the breakfast she served us was simply delicious. Each morning we got a
different breakfast with fresh coffee, fruits, juice and a main dish. We completely
enjoyed our stay at Mireille's place and would go back again any time.

A most enjoyable stay
I spent 10 nights in the Terra Nostra and I enjoyed every minute of my stay
I spent 10 nights at Le Terra Nostra and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. I loved the bedrooms so
comfortable, clean, and so tastefully decorated. I appreciated the convenient location of the place,
close to the city center and yet in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the banks of the
St-Laurent River. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. She cooks delicious breakfasts, different
every morning, which can be served in an enchanting little garden. The Terra Nostra is an outstanding
B&B where I got more than I expected. I will come again.

Mireille's cafe with rooms - a personalized experience
If the personal touch is what makes the difference then Le Terra Nostra is enchanted
If the personal touch is what makes the difference then Le Terra Nostra is enchanted. From meticulously
designed and decorated rooms creating a luxurious look and feel to exceptionally helpful advice about
whatever you might wish to know about Montreal, to enough bicycles provided to enjoy the nearby river
paths and neighborhoods sans motor pollution, to an outdoor garden virtually everything bore the stamp
of Mireille's passionate and enthusiastic personality. Her proudly and carefully prepared boutique
breakfasts and the friendly yet unintrusive attentions of her pet cockatiel rendered our experience
second to few in our many years of traveling around the world.

Special
Between the awesome rooms and a very engaged and enchanting host, our stay was nothing short of perfect. I wish we could have stayed an entire week
My boyfriend and I stayed two nights at this beautiful B & B. The decor was tasteful and exquisite
and the host, Mireille, was just lovely. It is obvious that a lot of thought was put into the design
of each room (we stayed in two of the three available). The overall home was artistic and warm. I wish
we could have stayed an entire week. Breakfast was prepared by Mireile, herself, and included an array
of tastes (IE: blueberry muffins with lime zest! yummm). Between the awesome rooms and a very engaged
and enchanting host, our stay was nothing short of perfect. Thank you!
